I've been subscribed to Pop Culture Happy Hour Newsletters for a while.
I've read the latest one about facing another new year, and I'm loving it more than ever.

I could relate to every single word in every single sentence. It was like Linda Holmes was speaking my mind.
I especially loved the first sentence:
There's obviously nothing magical about the end of a year or the beginning of a year;
let's get that out of the way.
It is so true! But I admit I always tend to seek what brings joy to me. And I like to pretend that New Year is some kind of inspiration.
It seems like Linda is on the same page as me.
She says,
I have come to believe that for at least some people, it's a simple matter of formalizing the sense that time is passing and that more lies ahead. "2022 is over; 2023 is starting" is just a way of tricking my brain into recognizing, at some level, both that a bunch of days have gone by and that I'm getting new ones that I can spend in the ways I choose.
There isn't always a good opportunity, otherwise, to stop and take stock.
Time is passing. And we all want to live that good life.
What do you guys think about New Year's resolution? Have you made one for yourself?
